The Apex Wide Flat Trigger is machined from billet steel and features a .31” wide flat face. The wider surface distributes contact pressure for a positive shooting experience, especially during rapid strings or high-round-count training sessions. The trigger is finished with ArmorLube™ Duplex DLC — a matte black coating that provides superior corrosion, abrasion, and wear resistance compared to standard DLC finishes.

The Apex Tank Tread Commander Hammer is a modern take on the classic Commander or “Ring” hammer design. Its checkered cocking surface gives your thumb positive traction for reliable manipulation under any condition. The hammer profile integrates an over-cocking limit pad and a spur angle specifically cut to prevent hammer bite, even during high-volume shooting. The hammer hook geometry is precisely matched to the Mk 1 Balanced Sear, eliminating the need for hand-stoning or altering engagement surfaces. The result is a clean, crisp trigger break with no creep or stacking.

The Balanced Sear Lever and Sear Lever Spring are critical to the kit’s performance. The original Browning Hi-Power sear lever can experience inertia-related rotation as the slide cycles into battery, a limitation imposed by Newtonian physics that restricts how light and crisp a trigger pull can be. By balancing the sear lever and biasing it away from the sear contact pad with the included spring, the kit greatly reduces the risk of hammer follow at lower pull weights. This allows for a lighter, more consistent trigger without sacrificing reliability.
