Description
The Apex Durable Striker for the FN 509 Series is a direct drop-in replacement built for shooters who log serious round counts and dry-fire reps. This striker is certified for over 125,000 dry strikes on an empty chamber, verified through over 1 million dry fires during a 3-year R&D cycle. The sear catch geometry is revised to deliver a crisp trigger break while maintaining proper sear-to-striker engagement.
Machined from heat-treated tool steel and finished with Nickel Teflon, this striker provides high lubricity and wear resistance. A proprietary buffer is included to dampen the shockwave from dry-firing, protecting internal components. A 6mm x 60mm socket head cap screw is also included as a removal tool for cleaning and maintenance.

This striker requires the following factory striker components (removed from your original striker and reused):
- Striker spring stop
- Striker spring stop pin
- Striker return spring
- Striker spring guide

When installed with an Apex AEK Trigger Kit, average trigger pull weight is 5.5 lbs. Installed with the factory FN trigger system, average pull weight is 6.5 lbs.
Important Note on Springs:
Mixing springs or parts from different manufacturers is not recommended. Use only factory springs or the Apex Slide Maintenance Kit with this striker. Combining with other manufacturers’ spring kits can cause malfunctions, and technical support cannot be provided if parts are mixed.
