You get approximately a 2 lb. reduction in pull weight, a 40% reduction in total trigger travel, and a significantly shorter reset. The uptake is smooth, the break is crisp, and the over-travel is minimized. This allows you to stay on target and make faster, more accurate follow-up shots under pressure.

Fitment & Certification: This kit is currently certified for use with aluminum frame M&P M2.0 pistols only. It is a direct drop-in replacement — no fitting, filing, or gunsmithing required. Apex has tested this kit for drop safety in all sizes and configurations of the aluminum frame M&P M2.0 for which it is specified. Do not install in M&P steel frame pistols. Apex has steel frame models on order for drop testing; until those pass and are certified, use in steel frames is not recommended.

Type 3 Trigger Design: This Type 3 trigger offers a visually distinct look while retaining the same proven performance as the classic line. The front corners are chamfered (instead of radiused) for a narrower trigger feel, without altering any functional surfaces. Additional decorative face cuts on the visible sides complete the updated appearance. Performance remains identical to the classic trigger.

Specs & Setup: Using the included Apex springs in combination with the factory sear and trigger return springs, you can fine-tune the pull weight within a range suitable for duty or carry down to a competition-ready weight. This kit reduces pre-travel, over-travel, and reset distance for a more efficient trigger cycle.

Important Note on Over-Travel Stop: As of June 2025, the over-travel stop has been removed from this kit for metal frame M&P M2.0 pistols. All other features and performance characteristics remain unchanged.
