Description
The Apex Failure Resistant Extractor for Glock pistols delivers a direct upgrade for shooters who demand consistent performance under high round counts and adverse conditions. This is not a general-purpose part—it is built for duty rigs, competition strings, and serious builds where extraction failures cost time or compromise reliability.
The extractor claw is machined with a more robust profile and features Apex’s proprietary geometry. This design increases the claw’s grip on the case rim and maintains positive control through the entire extraction cycle. The result is consistent extraction and a uniform ejection pattern, round after round. For shooters running suppressed setups, hot handloads, or heavy-use schedules, this extractor reduces the common failure points found in factory components.
Key Benefits:
- Improved reliability – The strengthened claw and optimized geometry reduce skipped or weak extractions, especially in dirty or carbon-fouled chambers.
- Consistent extraction – Each spent case is pulled with the same force, preventing stovepipes and double-feeds during rapid fire or malfunction drills.
- Uniform ejection pattern – Predictable ejection makes it easier to track your brass for reloaders and reduces the chance of brass hitting your support hand or optics.
- Drop-in fit for standard-frame Glocks – Installs directly into Gen1 through Gen5 non-slim frame models with no fitting required for most builds.
Specifications & Fitment:
- Compatible with Glock 17, 19, 22, 23, 31, 32, 34, 35, 41, and all other standard-frame models (non-slim frame).
- Does not fit Glock 42, 43, 43X, 48, or other slim-frame pistols.
- Standard size extractor – works with factory and aftermarket slide assemblies that accept OEM-spec extractors.
- Material: Hardened steel with corrosion-resistant finish.
- Price: $65
Important Note for Persistent Issues:
If extraction problems continue after installing this extractor, we recommend replacing the spring-loaded bearing (also known as the extractor depressor plunger assembly). A worn or weak bearing can reduce extractor tension and cause intermittent failures even with a new extractor.
