Description
This Basic Forward Set Trigger Kit for Polymer Frame M&P M2.0 Pistols is a direct replacement for your factory trigger assembly and sear lever. It is designed for shooters who want a mechanical advantage in trigger manipulation without changing pull weight. Priced at $110, this kit focuses on reducing total trigger travel and shortening the reset, giving you a faster return to the next shot.
What This Kit Delivers:
- Replaces the factory trigger with an Apex solid body aluminum trigger featuring a center-mounted pivoting safety. This trigger body is machined from aluminum and hard coat anodized for long-term durability under heavy use.
- Includes the Apex Forward Set Sear Actuator, which is the core component of the system. It moves the striker release point forward, allowing the trigger’s over-travel stop to control the stopping point precisely.
- Reduces overall trigger travel by approximately 35% compared to the factory trigger and sear lever setup. This includes reduced over-travel and a noticeably shorter reset.
What This Kit Does Not Do:
- It does not make the pre-travel or trigger pull any smoother. For that, you need the Ultimate Striker Block.
- It does not include replacement springs to adjust trigger pull weight. If you want a smoother pull and adjustable weight, you need the complete Forward Set Trigger Kit or add the Special Sear Kit for Basics (available soon).
- It is not intended to alter the trigger pull weight. Based on testing, the pull weight will not change much from factory — typically between 4 lbs and 6 lbs. Your results will vary based on the factory sear and striker in your pistol.
Installation & Fitment Notes:
- Both the trigger and sear actuator must be installed together. The pistol will not function properly if only one component is used.
- This kit is a direct drop-in replacement for the factory trigger assembly and sear lever in Polymer Frame M&P M2.0 pistols. No fitting required for standard frames.
Why This Kit Works for Your Application:
- For competition shooters: shorter reset means faster follow-up shots without waiting for the trigger to return to its original position. Reduced over-travel gives you a consistent stop point every time.
- For duty rigs: the aluminum trigger body with hard coat anodizing holds up to daily carry and high-round-count training. The center-mounted pivoting safety maintains a familiar manual of arms.
- For serious upgrades: this is a targeted modification that addresses trigger travel and reset without introducing variables like weight reduction or
