This barrel milling fixture is built for the gunsmith or armorer who needs a repeatable, secure setup when fitting barrels into Smith & Wesson M&P and M&P M2.0 pistols. Designed specifically for use with a milling machine, this tool locks the barrel in a vertical position so you can accurately cut the barrel hood length to match the host slide. No guesswork, no slipping, no wasted time.

The fixture includes all necessary hardware out of the box. A brass bolt is used in the critical contact point to prevent marring or damage to the barrel surface. We strongly recommend against using steel or stainless-steel bolts for this purpose—brass is softer and will not gall or gouge the barrel finish during clamping.

For the bottom fitting pad, this fixture is not intended for that operation. Instead, we advise placing the barrel on a set of parallels in your vise, with the top of the barrel flat against the parallels and the vise jaws gripping the left and right walls of the barrel. This method gives you the control needed for that specific cut.
