Each hammer features precision cut engagement surfaces with perfectly square hammer hooks. This geometry is directly derived from a vintage 1968 Colt National Match pistol—a proven design that produces a super clean, crisp break. • Hook geometry: Hammer hook height is set at .018–.020 inches to deliver a consistent, clean breaking trigger pull. This spec is critical for reducing creep and overtravel without sacrificing reliability.
• Pin hole locations: Hammer hook and strut pin hole locations are also taken from that same 1968 Colt National Match pistol, ensuring proper geometry and sear engagement.
• Captive half-cock notch: Includes the captive half-cock notch found on Mk IV Series 70 Colt pistols. This feature provides an added safety margin during holstering or administrative handling. It is also compatible with Series 80 pistols.
• Drop-in fit: Direct drop-in replacement part. No fitting required for most standard 1911 frames. Works with both steel and aluminum frames.
