Description
This is a stripped 5.00″ slide for the FN 509 pistol. You will need to transfer all internal components from your factory FN 509 slide (detailed below) and provide a compatible 5″ barrel. Every space in this slide is machined to accept factory FN components. For peak performance, all Apex parts designed for the 509 series fit this slide without modification.
Slide Features
- Apex 5″ Slide for the FN 509 Pistol
- Front and Rear Cocking Serrations
- Two serration options available: Classic or Lightning Bolt
- Suppressor-height black-on-black sights installed by Apex
- Black PVD finish for corrosion resistance and low-glare
- Ported slide: Slide ports are matched to the Apex Ported Barrel for the FN 509, allowing escaping gases from the barrel ports to reduce muzzle rise. An Apex ported barrel is required for the ports to function as designed.
Requirements
THIS SLIDE REQUIRES ALL INTERNALS AND A 5″ BARREL FOR THE FN 509. You cannot use a 4″ or 4.5″ barrel with this slide.
Options for Internals
- Use the factory parts from your existing FN 509 slide.
- Contact Apex Customer Service to order a Slide Completion Kit. Apex will fully assemble the slide for you prior to shipping. These kits can only be purchased with a slide from Apex and must be installed by Apex.
- Purchase new factory FN components from Midwestgunworks.com or Brownells.com.

- Factory Barrel: Customers may use the factory 5″ 509 barrel with this slide.
