Description
The Apex® J-Plate Base Pad is a direct replacement for the factory floor plate on the Magpul® GL9 PMAG™. This part is built for shooters who need positive magazine identification under stress—competition stages, range drills, or duty gear setups where split-second decisions matter.
The J-Plate features laser-marked identification dots on the exterior surface. These dots provide a clear, tactile and visual reference point, allowing you to confirm your magazine loadout at a glance or by feel. No more guessing which mag has the training rounds or the defensive load when the timer is running.
Key benefits for your rig:
- Drop-in fit: Direct replacement for the factory base pad on Magpul® GL9 PMAG™ magazines. No fitting, filing, or special tools required. Swap it out in seconds on the bench or in the safe room.
- Uses factory retention plate: The J-Plate works with the original Glock® magazine retention plate included with the PMAG™. No need to buy extra hardware or modify your existing mags.
- Minimal weight addition: Adds approximately 0.045 ounces to the magazine—light enough that it won’t affect balance or reload speed, but robust enough for hard use.
- No capacity change: This base pad does not increase or decrease round count. It’s designed purely for identification and durability, not for extending magazine capacity.
- Positive identification under pressure: The laser-etched dots stand out against the polymer body, giving you a clear visual cue during administrative reloads or when staging mags on the belt.
Fitment details: Specifically designed for Magpul® GL9 PMAG™ magazines (Glock® 9mm models). This is an aftermarket component from Apex®—an independent manufacturer not affiliated with Glock, Inc. or Glock Ges.m.b.H. Glock® is a registered trademark of Glock, Inc. The J-Plate will not work with OEM Glock® factory magazines or other PMAG® variants.
Compatibility note: Works with standard Glock® 9mm double-stack PMAGs used in G17, G19, G26, and other compatible frames. Reliable for duty, competition, and training applications where consistent magazine handling is critical.
