Description
The core function of a competition or duty-ready handgun is speed under pressure. This low-profile magwell for the Springfield SA-35 and Browning Hi-Power is engineered specifically to shave fractions of a second off your reloads without adding the bulk that gets in your way. It provides a larger, colosseum-style frame entrance that guides the magazine home with authority, reducing the chance of a fumbled reload during a stage or a critical moment.
Adding only 1/4″ of length to the frame, this unit keeps the profile tight for holster fitment and IDPA ESP Division compliance. It fits inside the ESP box when used with Apex 17-round magazines. The design works directly with the factory frame bevels on the SA-35, improving the alignment between the magazine and the frame channel for a smoother, more consistent insertion every time.
This is not a drop-in part for every Hi-Power pattern. It is built for specific setups and requires specific components for proper function.
Critical Fitment & Compatibility:
- Must be used with Apex 17 or 19 round magazines. The factory SA-35 magazines are not compatible with this magwell.
- SA-35 Models: Installation requires NO frame cutting or welding. It fits nearly seamless using simple hand tools.
- Browning Hi-Power & Girsan Models: Minor alterations to the frame are necessary for proper attachment.
- Grip Panels: We strongly recommend using grip panels made exclusively by LOK Grips designed for this Apex Low-Profile Magwell. Standard panels will not work correctly.
Construction & Durability:
- Machined from a solid billet of StressProof Steel for maximum strength and impact resistance.
- Finished with a durable black oxide coating that resists wear and corrosion.
- Simple, straightforward installation using basic hand tools.
This magwell is for shooters who need a reliable, low-profile solution that delivers real speed gains without the extra weight or snag hazards of oversized competition funnels. It is a direct upgrade for the serious shooter who values precision and function over flash.
